Mum's here.

Gray's playing "Oh Boy" by Troy Romeo. Mum's reading the paper and doing the crossword at my kitchen table, wearing my winter dressing gown as well as all her own clothes.

Last Saturday Gray's parents flew out from Perth airport and half an hour later my mum arrived, which was kinda handy, since I was there already anyway. :~) Mum and I went on a roadtrip in a little white hired car. We went to Geraldton for my dad's sister's 60th birthday and we met and re-met all the cousins and their children - 11 children under 8 years old. Oh, the cuteness. We took the inland way home, via the wheatbelt where Mum grew up. The wildflowers were amazing. Everlastings. Kangaroo paws. We stopped in York overnight at a beautiful old hotel. We arrived just in time for my Tuesday bellydance class, and I've been working ever since, catching up on Manager stuff, you know. Two evenings in a row in meetings. Today is free though, and we're taking Mum to Bigsplat for some coffee and to see some sights.

It's been a great visit so far. It's good to have Mum here.
