What kind of work are you trying to get?
The job we've just applied for is as manager of a teensy weensy visitor centre (for teensy weensy visitors) - it will be somewhere between 15-30 hrs per week paid, at a rate somewhere between $12 -$15 and hour. Which is pretty crappy really given that the job requirements seem to be demanding some kind of Superhero with at least a few super powers. But, see, if it weren't crap then all these other people WITHOUT 8 year long lost-in-time resume gaps would be applying. So, we're made for each other, this crappy job and me. I'm not sure I'm up to it, but our beloved leader's "Whistle while you work" mantra has become increasingly frenzied of late and I am really scared that I'll end up being sent to a chicken factory.
And I'm an all or nothing girl (well, some of us are) so I've got no time for such *sigh* poultry business.
Hmmm. I really hope none of the Karridell Visitor Centre selection panel read this journal.
