Thoughts upon my right to be here.
1. I do not torment myself with questions of entitlement. I was born on red soil and I have never felt unwelcome.
2. My aunts were fierce, killing their own chickens. They told me I was soft and would never be a farmer. This I did not deny, even silently, but when I was told that I did not belong on the land... I knew. Not true.
3. To hide a tree, you need a forest.

ooh, Chocolate. We completely forgot that part. We did have hot cross buns on Friday, but we've not got a chocolate egg in the house. Maybe I need to do something about that. Something involving melting lots of chocolated buttons in a saucepan and adding some flour and nuts and calling them Easter Brownies. Or maybe I shall just eat the chocolate buttons. Hmmm.
Hoping you have a good weekend sweetie.
