News from the new year.

We're selling our dream block.
(Turns out, it was a block of dreams...)

And we're going to try to avoid Rental Hell by buying a house in town.

We had thought we'd avoided Rental Hell by leasing a house with no freehold title, leasing a leasehold in fact, and by being reasonably good tenants, but it seems leaseholds can be sold outright. We could buy the lease to our house, but the whole deal looks very dodgy to me. The lease MIGHT be renewed after twenty years, yes, but it might not be.
The annual maintenance fee MIGHT not go up, but it MIGHT.

It takes a long time to sell our dream block because all the other dreamers get 2 months notice to see if they might like to double their dream. So that's fine with me.

I don't like to rush things.

Speaking of rushing things, we bought a car.
It's 12 years old, shiny, astonishingly fuel efficient and is called "Boo".

Ethel is still going well, aside from the moss growing on the rust patches.
So we're temporarily a two car household.

Health is brilliant.
I like Peony lipstick.

That's it folks.

Love you.

So, that was Christmas, now for New Year.

And New Year was sweet too.

Music, friends, strangers and starry skies above a camp fire.

5 days in 1 house.

3 Dogs
1 Patriarch
1 Matriarch
1 Aunty
1 Cousin
1 Cousin-in-love
1 Husband
2 Brothers-in-love
2 Sisters

And it was AWESOME.
